About EFryNB

Elizabeth Fry New Brunswick (EFryNB) supports women and gender-diverse people impacted by poverty, homelessness, trauma, violence, and involvement with the criminal legal system. Through trauma-informed, person-centered programming, we help individuals build stability, confidence, and the opportunity to move forward — with dignity and hope. Our work is grounded in compassion, social justice, and a deep respect for every person’s story. We provide housing support, mental health services, court navigation, advocacy, and education — creating safe, inclusive spaces where people can heal, grow, and thrive. EFryNB carries forward a legacy that began in 1813 with Elizabeth Fry, a prison reformer who believed in second chances. That spirit was reignited in Saint John in 1987 by Marian Perkins, whose vision transformed a small volunteer effort into a province-wide force for change. Today, EFryNB continues to champion equity, resilience, and transformation across New Brunswick — one person, and one community, at a time.
